Hesse 2019
On 8 and 9 April 2019, ER.I.C. participated in a two-day B2B meeting and presentations in the German state of Hesse, located between Frankfurt and Wiesbaden. The objective of the mission was to present the Intermodal Cluster in the heart of the German intermodal market in order to promote the regional platform system as the final destination for European rail traffic. Major transport companies and those involved in territorial promotion of Hessian state, including Kombiverkeher, Holm – House of Logistics and Mobility, and Hessen Trade & Invest GmbH, were presented with the regional intermodal cluster. In addition, five companies from the regional intermodal cluster – Ce.P.I.M. Spa, Interporto di Bologna Spa, Terminal Container Ravenna, Dinazzano Po Spa, Terminali Italia Srl – participated on 8 April in dedicated B2B meetings in an afternoon brokerage session where they met potential German partners and explored potential business partnerships.
The delegation was received by Mark Weinmeister, Undersecretary for European Affairs, and Schuster, a representative of the Ministry of Economy, Energy, and Transport, on April 9th, as part of the 20-year memorandum of understanding between the Emilia-Romagna Region and the state of Hesse. The aim was to explore any future areas of collaboration in the field of sustainable freight mobility between the two regions.
