Terminali Italia, a subsidiary of the Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane Group, has been managing integrated terminal services since 2008 within a network of 15 intermodal terminals throughout Italy, including partnerships with Interporto di Bologna in Bologna, Ce.P.I.M. in Parma, and Lotras in Villaselva. Terminali Italia operates as the provider of last-mile rail services, offering access to the service to all those who request it under the same conditions. The execution of shunting services allows the company to optimize loading and unloading times and methods. All of the services are supported by an innovative application platform that is fundamental for core terminal processes and forms the basis of the company’s strategy to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions, thus contributing to environmental sustainability.

The company offers the following services to its customers:

• Handling services for intermodal loading units.
• Ancillary services within the terminal (repair centre, fumigation, service agency for multimodal operator).
• Last-mile terminal services (access, cranes, stabling for rail wagons, intermodal transport units, rail shunting).
• Integrated freight transport system to all operators upon request, providing access to both infrastructure and terminal services.
