Students from courses promoted by ER.I.C. visit Ce.P.I.M. Interporto in Parma

Last week, Ce.P.I.M. Interporto di Parma Spa hosted a visit by students participating in the Terminal Operator and Intermodal Terminal Manager courses designed and created by ER.I.C. (Emilia-Romagna Intermodal Cluster), with the support of ITL (Transport and Logistics Institute) and Sestante.

Training, along with internationalization and participation in B2B events, is one of the fundamental projects of the ER.I.C. Cluster.

The cluster members (including Ce.P.I.M.-Interporto Parma, also Dinazzano Po, Hupac-Intermodal Terminal Piacenza, Interporto di Bologna, Lotras, Logtainer, Ravenna Port-Authority of the Central Northern Adriatic Sea, and Terminali Italia-FS Group) have identified the best characteristics to create two specific training courses for the qualification and specialization of personnel in logistics and transport.

The strong development of logistics, digitalization, and the sophistication of processes make this sector increasingly structured and complex every day. For this reason, in Italy and especially in Emilia-Romagna, there is a strong need to create high-profile professional figures who can understand and manage all the sector’s needs. This is the motivation behind creating these two courses of study.

Each company is contributing its know-how, and the participants were able to visit the ER.I.C. member companies and view their organizational processes from the inside. Ce.P.I.M. hosted the students and presented its intermodal structures.

At the end of the classroom training, the companies participating in the initiative will host the course participants for a period of training internships to put into practice the skills acquired during the training.

“We believe that the training of young people is essential for the creation of new resources that can be integrated into complex production realities such as logistics. We are proud to be a part of the ER.I.C. Cluster because it is important for similar entities to share their knowledge and experience to bring constant improvements and create a synergistic action in the pursuit of common goals,” explains Eng. Capitani AD, and President of Ce.P.I.M.
