The Emilia Romagna Region received a prize for the initiative developed with the technical support of ITL Foundation, the realization of an intermodal cluster, and in particular for the innovation and development of competences in the logistic-intermodal field.
Assologistica presented it during the ceremony for the “Logistics of the Year” awards, which took place at Assolombarda in Milan and involved the many entrepreneurial realities and managers who have focused on innovation to improve the transport and logistics.
The prize was awarded for the initiative, promoted by the Emilia-Romagna Region and coordinated by the Institute of Transport and Logistics (ITL), which developed a network between the main regional intermodal entities and nodes (Authorities of the North Central Adriatic Sea Port System, Centro Padano Merci Interchange – Ce.PIM Spa, Dinazzano Po Spa, Interporto Bologna Spa, Terminal Rubiera Srl, Lotras srl, Terminali Italia srl Gruppo Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane and Hupac Spa). This network focuses on training through the establishment of the “Network Corporate Academy” for innovation and the development of skills in the logistics-intermodal field.
The Academy has created two free courses for new professional profiles: the Terminal operator (for technical figures specialized in railway operations) and the Terminal manager (for technical managerial figures specialized in attracting international traffic). 24 students attended the lessons: 80% completed the experience successfully; over 50% are already employed in cluster or sector companies.
